An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager – PICU to work alongside the ward manager in an exceptional newly refurbished hospital based in the Birmingham, West Midlands area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

 

This is a newly refurbished unit which will offer a pathway of care within a modern setting, and provide additional support to the mental health of those in the West Midlands region

 

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RMN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**

 

As the Deputy Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:

·         Committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

·         Ensuring there is a high standard of care for patients in terms of their mental and physical health

·         Act as a role model and provide leadership to more junior staff

·         Work effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team

·         Committed to supervision, appraisal and Continuous Professional Development

·         Support with recruitment and retention

 

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence based practice

·         Experience of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and writing reports

·         Knowledge of Mental Health Act Legislation and statutory regulations

·         Experience of staffing, skill mix and leading shifts

·         Committed to supporting Junior Staff and Students

 

The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £44,648 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
